Death Certificates contain the following information which might be of use to Genealogists. This information did not change until April Quarter 1969 when maiden names of females were added as was the date and place of birth of all people.

1) The Registration District.

2) The Sub District and the County in which the Death occurred.

3) The number of the entry in the Register.

4) The date of the death and the place where the death took place.

5) Whether the person was male or female.

6) The age of the person

7) The occupation of the person. If the person was female, then the description is likely to read, ......wife
or widow of..........and his occupation stated. A child will be described similarly.

8) The cause of the death.

9) The name, address and connection to the deceased of the person who registered the death.

10) When the death was registered.

11) The signature of the Registrar.
