The Lord Nelson pub has been in Hurst probably since the time of the great man himself.
It is a popular pub for members of the Golf club being just a 5 minutes' walk from the club house gate.
Recently it has re opened after being closed for a number of moths
The bit of scrubby ground on the right of the picture was a playground for my dad before Waddicor Avenue was built. Known to the youth of that day as No Man's Land !
