Certificates in 5 Days. Obviously I can't get them to your letter box in that time, but I can normally scan or transcribe them to the <in box> of your e mail address, so if speed of information appeals to you, then read on ! This page however relates to the provison of Probates from the Probate Sub Registry in York. If you want a pre 1858 Probate or Will located at a local archive office it should be possible to obtain it but you will need to contact me for the cost.
The Service:
Probates or Administrations are obtained from York Probate Sub Registry.On receipt by me, they are scanned to you by e mail
The entries are then posted by air mail to you. The usual delivery time is about a week or so after the scan.
Generally the time scale to provide these documents is between three and four weeks.

The Costs:
The preferred method of payment is by credit card and if you adopt this method the cost is £ 11.25 To pay by credit card, please complete the Order Form. If you need to use a Secure Order Form because you have not given me card details previously, please use the Secure Order Form and e mail or post it to me at the address on the form. Otherwise, payment by Paypal is fine and there is a secure shopping cart lower down the page. I am happy to accept a personal cheque in your currency, but I do incur a commission for this. The cost of certificates per cheque is the equivalent of £ 11.25 (please use the exchange rate calculator below) BUT there is a commission of £ 5 per order, not probate, for these types of orders. A credit card or Paypal is therefore much cheaper. Once I have acknowledged your order, this cannot be cancelled as I pay for the probates prior to their receipt. Nor is there any refund available as the Probate Office retain all fees for their time taken to searchAs a guideline, £ 10 = Australian $17 Canada $16 Euro E12 NZ$ 22. US$16
These guides are subject to the day to day change in exchange rates and will be affected by any fees which Card Issuing Companies charge for currency conversions. All transactions are processed in sterling at £ 11.25 on receipt of your order.
