Description of Enumeration District

All that part of the Parish of Ashton Under Lyne which comprises
part of the proposed Ecclesiastical District of St George's Chapel
Moſsley bounded on the South by the proposed Ecclesiastical
District of Old St George's Chapel Cocker Hill Stalybridge,
on the west by the lane leading from Luzley to Moſsley Cross,
on the north by an imaginary line to be drawn from Moſsley Cross
past Seel Fold to the extremity of the Hartshead District where
the same joins Saddleworth at Carr Hill Mills so however as just
to exclude Seel Fold and Moſsley and on the east by the river
Tame and which district includes the house aforesaid occupied by Robert
James Harrison, the new cottages in Moſsley Brow belonging to George Mayall,
all houses at Moſsley Brow on both sides of the Turnpike road, Scout,
Scout Farm, Mr John Mayall's house and all the other houses between
Carr Hill Mills and Scout Mills except Scout Mill and the cottages
thereat which are included in the last District.
