Description of Enumeration District

All that part of the Parish of Ashton Under Lyne which comprises part
of the Ecclesiastical District of St John's Church Hurst bounded on the
east by Hurst New Road now called Queen Street, on the north west by
the old Highway leading from Ashton through Hurst Cross to Hazlehurst,
on the south west by an imaginary line drawn from the lower
corner of the shop occupied by Samuel Lord at the corner of Moſsley
road to an Ash tree about 15 yards south west of Prospect Cottage.
